Our commitment

Hanna Plumbing And Heating aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.

Measures we take

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA and Level AAA. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA — "partially conformant" means that some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the standard, and we treat every reported gap as a defect to be fixed, not a footnote. Our internal reviews cover keyboard-only operation, screen-reader output, zoom to 200%, and color-contrast measurement on every template this site uses.

How we assess this site

Accessibility is checked the same way the rest of our work is checked — before launch and again after meaningful changes. Our assessment approach combines:

• Automated audits (Lighthouse and axe-core rules) run against every page template
• Manual keyboard-only walkthroughs of navigation, forms and interactive controls
• Screen-reader spot checks of headings, landmarks, link purpose and form labels
• Contrast measurement of text, buttons and focus indicators against AA ratios
• Reduced-motion review — animation is disabled when your device asks for it

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

This website is designed to be compatible with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies including screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS), screen magnification, voice control and switch access. The site is built as fast, static pages without login walls or timed sessions, so content never expires while you read it and no interaction is required just to reach the information.

Known limitations

Some third-party content embedded on this site (for example, review widgets or map embeds) may not fully meet the same standard. Where we find gaps, we work to fix them or provide an accessible alternative. Standards and legal context

Our target standard is WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the version of the guidelines referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice in its rulemaking under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the basis of Section 508 requirements for federal-facing content. We apply the same bar to this site voluntarily because our customers include seniors, people recovering from injury and anyone dealing with a plumbing emergency one-handed with a phone — situations where an inaccessible website is not an inconvenience but a wall. Semantic structure, honest link text and forms that announce their errors are how we keep that wall down.

Where this site loads services from other companies — analytics, review platforms, embedded maps — we choose and configure those vendors with accessibility in mind and pass on feedback about their gaps. Their content remains governed by their own accessibility statements, but your route to us never depends on them: every piece of contact information on this site is available as plain text and every form has a phone-call alternative.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is not a one-time audit for us. New pages, components and content go through the same checks listed above before they ship, and this statement is reviewed whenever the site changes in a meaningful way. If standards move forward, our target moves with them.
