Do you handle both plumbing and heating?
Yes — one licensed Hanna crew covers your plumbing and your hydronic heating: water heaters, softeners, sump pumps and remodels on the water side; boilers, in-floor heat and gas piping on the heat side. One call covers the whole system.
How does your pricing work?
Our service team is paid by the hour with no quotas — so nobody is incentivized to sell you work you don't need. You'll know our pricing structure before a technician ever arrives, and estimates are free for work over $500.
How fast can someone get out to me?
We offer same-day service for most repairs and true 24/7 emergency availability for active leaks, failed sump pumps and no-heat calls across Marion, Cedar Rapids and the Eastern Iowa Corridor.
Do you do commercial work?
A large share of our work is commercial — restaurants, department stores, apartment complexes, senior living and municipal projects, including the Eastern Iowa Airport modernization. If your business needs plumbing, we've likely done a project like it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Fully. Hanna Plumbing & Heating has been a licensed, insured Iowa contractor since 2003 — Iowa Contractors License #C145148 and Iowa Plumbing & Mechanical License #50273-CL — founded by the Hanna family in Marion and still answering Eastern Iowa's calls under the same name today.

Yes — everything we provide and install is covered by a one-year workmanship warranty. Our people are all trained, licensed and insured, and they'll treat your home like they treat their own.

We're based in Marion, Iowa and run the Eastern Iowa Corridor daily: Marion, Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha, Robins, Anamosa, Center Point, Coralville, Iowa City, Mount Vernon, North Liberty, Shueyville, Solon, Swisher, Toddville, Vinton and the surrounding communities.

Weekdays 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday are emergency only — if a pipe bursts or your heat is out, call (319) 377-2809 any time and you'll reach us.

What brands do you carry?
Ruud tank water heaters, Navien tankless units, Kohler kitchen and bath fixtures, and Zoeller sump pumps — equipment we install every week and stand behind.
How hard is the water around here?
It varies a lot by town: Marion runs 18–20 grains per gallon (very hard, unsoftened), Hiawatha 14–20, Coralville 7–10 — while Cedar Rapids, Robins, Iowa City and North Liberty soften centrally so most homes there don't need their own softener. Do you charge for estimates?
Estimates are free on work over $500 — bigger jobs like water heater replacements, boiler installs and remodels start with a straight number, not a sales pitch.
