Unsoftened Marion water at 18–20 grains leaves scale on everything it touches — spray faces clog, aerators choke, and finishes etch with white spotting. Kohler's guidance is gentle cleaning only (harsh descalers void the finish warranty), so around here the real fix is soft water; a softener protects every fixture in the house at once. Kohler faucets carry a lifetime limited warranty for the original homeowner — if a valve drips, Kohler supplies the replacement cartridge free. Most other Kohler plumbing products carry a one-year limited warranty unless noted, and improper cleaning (harsh or abrasive cleaners) can void finish coverage. Check the terms for your specific product.

Kohler's warranty covers the part, not the labor — a correct install is what keeps you from ever needing either. Does Kohler's lifetime warranty cover my faucet if hard water clogs it?
Kohler's lifetime faucet warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for the original owner — they'll send a free replacement cartridge for a dripping valve. Mineral buildup itself isn't a defect, though, and harsh chemical descalers can void the finish coverage. In very hard towns like Marion, a water softener is what actually protects the investment.
Can you match an existing Kohler fixture in an older home?
Usually yes — Kohler's replacement-parts network is one of the deepest in the industry, so decades-old valves and trim can often be rebuilt or matched instead of tearing out the wall.
Do you supply the Kohler fixtures or can I buy my own?
